Honer is within easy reach of many local places of interest. The ancient city of Chichester is 5 miles away. The Roman city walls walk surrounds the old city and within a relatively short distance one can visit Pallant House Modern Art Gallery, the City Museum, Chichester Cathedral, spend time in the pedestrian city centre with its many shops and restaurants or go to a performance at Chichester Festival Theatre or one of the city’s cinemas.
A short drive away north is Goodwood estate famed for it's beautiful house, Glorious Goodwood horse racing and motor sporting events such as the Festival of Speed and the Revival meeting.
The Cass 26 acre Sculpture Park is also at Goodwood, then driving up over the hill one drops down to Singleton where the Weald and Downland outdoor museum has a fine collection of ancient buildings and then heading back towards Chichester to West Dean there is the famous West Dean House and gardens, once the home of Edward James.
West of Chichester is Fishbourne Roman Palace, the Church at Bosham is featured in the Bayeux Tapestry and then the City of Portsmouth with its rich naval history.
To the East is the historic town of Arundel with its magical Castle, many art galleries and the Arundel Wetland Centre. To the South are the fantastic beaches of Wittering and sailing spots such as Itchenor.
The area has a huge variety of restaurants including a Brasserie Blanc, the Fish House at Chilgrove, the Royal Oak at Lavant, Carluccios, and a wide choice of Indian, Thai, Italian and Chinese food as well as several owner run innovative establishments.
Tennis is on site and a variety of golf courses are nearby, at Hunston and Goodwood.
